Buckley View, Rochdale Borough Housing
Funded external wall insulation with brick slips for 23 bungalows.
RBH has a wide housing stock with some buildings that are in need of thermal up grade. Buckley View is one of the first PAS 2035 schemes in the UK where the standards have been met with the extension of rooflines, installation of ventilation systems, improvement of loft insulation and, most importantly, the installation of external wall insulation. RBH and architects TADW chose to improve these properties with 100mm of mineral wool insulation and finish the properties with clay brick slips of 3 different colours.

This challenging project was delivered on budget, throughout the winter months and has been presented with the Highly Commended certificate for Large Scale Project of the year for the Buckley View retrofit / regeneration scheme at the Energy Efficiency Awards North West 2022!
